Painting Pixies, ages 3-5

Painting Pixies is a playful, process-based art class created especially for preschool artists. Each class begins with an inviting creative activity that allows children to explore materials and settle into the studio at their own pace.

We then come together for a song and story connected to the day’s theme before moving into a hands-on process art experience. Children may paint, print, collage, sculpt, mix colors and experiment with a variety of engaging materials.

The focus is on exploration, imagination and the joy of creating rather than making every project look the same. Along the way, children build confidence, strengthen fine-motor skills, practice following simple routines and make independent creative choices.

Painting Pixies is also a wonderful stepping stone toward kindergarten, helping young artists become more comfortable participating in a class, listening to a story, transitioning between activities and working independently.

This is a drop-off class. All artists must be able to use the bathroom independently.
