I’m the owner and founder of Pink Art Pixie, and after more than 30 years of teaching, I still believe one of the best things we can give children is a place where they feel comfortable trying something new.

Who Is Pink Art Pixie?
Hi I’m Stacey! I’m the creative mind behind Pink Art Pixie.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and more than 35 years of teaching experience. Throughout those years, I’ve seen over and over again that children learn best when they feel comfortable, capable, curious, and encouraged.
That philosophy is at the heart of Pixieland.
I love introducing children to different materials and techniques — painting, clay, mixed media, fiber arts, collage, building, drawing, and more — while giving them enough freedom to make each project their own.
Some children walk through our doors already calling themselves artists.
Others arrive saying, “I’m not good at art.”
Those are often the children I’m most excited to work with.
Because art doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.
What Makes Art Classes at Pixieland Different?
Our classes are intentionally hands-on, creative, and age-appropriate.
Instead of simply copying a sample step by step, artists are encouraged to make choices about color, pattern, texture, details, and design.
That means you may see 10 children working on the same basic project — and 10 completely different finished pieces.
That individuality is something we celebrate.
Depending on the class, artists may explore:
Painting
Artists learn how to use brushes, mix colors, layer paint, experiment with texture, and develop their own painting style.
Clay and Sculpture
Kids love creating in three dimensions. We use clay and sculptural materials to encourage problem-solving, imagination, and hands-on learning.
Mixed Media
One of our favorites! Artists may combine paint, paper, fabric, fibers, wood, collage materials, Model Magic, found objects, and embellishments in a single project.
Fiber Arts and Building
Some projects involve weaving, sewing, wrapping, constructing, engineering, or assembling — perfect for kids who love to create with their hands.
What Ages Can Attend Pink Art Pixie Classes?
Pink Art Pixie offers art experiences for children from approximately ages 3 through 13, with programs designed specifically for different developmental stages.
Our youngest artists enjoy process-based art, stories, songs, sensory exploration, and invitations to create.
As children grow, projects become increasingly detailed and may introduce new art techniques, artists, art history, mixed media, sculpture, and independent creative decision-making.
Tweens and teens have opportunities to work on projects that feel more sophisticated and age-appropriate while still enjoying the relaxed, social side of creating.
Does Pink Art Pixie Offer Kids’ Art Camps?
Yes!
Throughout the year, we offer both traditional art camps and shorter Campettes.
Our camps combine multiple art projects with opportunities to socialize, play, build, paint, sculpt, and explore a theme.
Camp themes change throughout the year and might include animals, fantasy worlds, food art, dinosaurs, Paris fashion, clay creations, seasonal projects, or completely imaginary adventures.
Our Campettes are especially popular with families looking for a creative activity on summer days, school holidays, or special dates throughout the year.
Does Pink Art Pixie Host Birthday Parties?
Absolutely — birthday parties are one of our favorite ways to celebrate!
A Pink Art Pixie birthday party gives kids the chance to create something memorable while celebrating together in a colorful art studio.
Families can choose from a variety of creative projects, including painting, clay, mixed media, small worlds, personalized artwork, and projects designed especially for tweens and teens.
Our studio is already bright and festive, so families can enjoy a fun party atmosphere without having to transform an empty party room.
And the best part?
Instead of another disposable party favor, each guest leaves with artwork they created themselves.
Are There Art Programs for Tweens and Teens?
Yes.
We know older kids still love making art — they just want projects and experiences that feel right for their age.
Our Tween + Teen Art Nights give older artists a place to create, hang out, meet other kids, and enjoy a different project each month.
These events are designed to feel social and relaxed while still offering a genuinely creative experience.
Do Kids Need Art Experience to Attend?
No.
Children do not need previous art experience to participate at Pink Art Pixie.
Our programs welcome both enthusiastic young artists and children who are simply curious about trying something creative.
We introduce techniques, demonstrate materials, and provide support while leaving plenty of room for individual interpretation.
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is for children to leave thinking:
“I made that.”
